Coventry Pride is a registered charity, which relies entirely on donations, grants and community volunteers for its success. Our core aim is to promote equality, diversity and advances in education, in order to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and others (LGBT+) Community. We believe that inclusiveness improves self-esteem and provides a sense of belonging, which helps to diminish the psychological effects of discrimination faced by individuals in daily life.
Our new team of trustees for 2025 provide a fresh and open new perspective for our charity, with lots of new ideas and events on their way. Our most well-known event of the year, Coventry Pride itself, is being hosted on August 9th 2025, with exciting collaborations happening across the city.

Coventry Pride is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves equal rights, respect, and representation—regardless of their gender identity, sexuality, or background.
Rooted in activism and community, we champion the rights of all people—regardless of gender identity, sexuality, race, disability, or background—while promoting visibility, social justice, and intersectionality. More than just a festival, Coventry Pride aims to be a year-round movement that creates safe, vibrant spaces where LGBTQIA+ people can connect, express themselves freely, and be proud of who they are.

What we do
We help to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues by promoting and staging events, taking part in campaigning and participating in commentary within the media, and providing support to other LGBT+ charities and voluntary organisations. We also promote the provision of information, advice and support that celebrate LGBT+ lives and history. We aim for Coventry to be a place where everybody knows that the diversity offered by the LGBT+ community is something to be celebrated and in which LGBT+ people can feel safe, welcomed and accepted.
